Passion Strong, Bring It On

Well following on from the last blog, I have continued to watch what I eat and I am starting to see the results. Things like clothes are feeling better and the energy levels have increased. This is a positive and heading in the direction that I am happy with.

The running is coming nicely with continued improvement. In April I pumped out a total of 207km of running, this is a significant increase on previous months and getting through injury free was a real bonus. The month of May is also looking strong with 144km completed to date with 2 weeks to go. I am now looking forward to building the numbers over time whilst continuing to increase the riding. Coach Big A has told me I need to be doing 2 rides a week with one at 2 hours and a windtrainer session once a week. Swims are optional and thats the way I like it. I hate swimming!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have entered the half Ironman at Shepparton in November 2011 which I am really looking forward too. I did this race in 2010 after limited training and knocked out a 5.4? something time which I was happy with. This was a long way from my PB of 5.19 in 2003. Should be a great race this year with 56 WSTC members racing and sharing the fun. Really looking forward to training with the guys in the lead up to the day.

Also on the program for 2011 is the Melbourne Marathon again and quite a few half marathons. With the current running program and the regular partners in Xavier, Benny, Steve, Greg, Billy & Big A. I am hoping for a PB. More on that prediction later.

Once again, thanks to all my training partners for the support and most all my family for allowing me the time to be selfish and do this sport!

Ciao for Now!!!!!!

Scotty
